The fact is, during “Architectural walks” Nelly not only teaches you how to draw sketches of buildings but also talks about their architecture and history. In essence, these walks are a unique combination of a drawing master class and excursions to interesting places in Voronezh which often remain away from the popular tourist routes and the guides’ attention.

The project started two years ago, and at first there were not very many people interested. However, now, in 2019, this is quite a noticeable phenomenon in the cultural life of the city. There are more than 1000 members in the VK group. Architectural Walks are done almost every week. During the warm season they do it in the open air, and in winter – in various warm and pretty places, for example, in a cafe or in a gallery.

The program has now become much wider than it was before. Now participants learn to draw not only buildings but also other fun objects like plants, interiors, animals and people.

Nelly makes no restrictions based on age or a skills level of a student. Master classes are available for complete beginners as well as for those who already know something. You may learn to draw both in adolescence and in adulthood, so do not be afraid! Everyone will be shown how to draw step by step and easy, and encouraged on their way.

Also notice, the style of sketch is very democratic and does not require academic thoroughness and scrupulous work on details.

The sketch is somewhat similar to a photo taken by a mobile phone, when you need to quickly catch a unique moment. However, unlike the picture done by a soulless gadget, a hand sketch will certainly show a piece of the artist’s soul. After all, the artist has talents and skills that are beyond the capabilities of most mere mortals. On the contrary, we all do have mobile phones.
